    The STIHL RM 655 VS petrol lawn mower is not only a real powerhouse owing to its durable aluminium housing. With its Vario self-propulsion and a cutting width of 53 cm, it is predestined for mowing large lawns. The central seven-setting cutting height adjustment enables selection of the cutting height from 25 to 85 mm. To facilitate work from the very outset, its engine is equipped with the ReadyStart function, which ensures reliable starting. During lawn mowing, the speed of the powerful engine always remains constant, even during changes in the propulsion speed, and the mono-comfort handlebar ensures easy handling. Also worthy of mention is the blade brake clutch of the RM 655 VS, via which the mowing deck is disengaged with the engine running so that short breaks during mowing do not require restarting the mower. The fold-open grass catcher box with a volume of 70 litres and level indicator is easy to empty. With this petrol lawn mower, you opt for a reliable companion during gardening work.

    • Thanks to the ReadyStart technology, the engine of the STIHL petrol lawn mower can be reliably started up with minimal effort both during cold and warm starting. 

    • VARIO WHEEL DRIVE
    • FOR INDIVIDUAL SPEED ADJUSTMENT. Vario wheel drive allows you to adjust the speed of your lawn mower to suit your personal mowing habits and grass conditions. The mowing speed can be adjusted on a an infinitely variable basis via the control lever on the handlebar.
    • Mulching function
    • During mulching, the mulching blade shreds the mown grass before it falls back into the turf as a nutritional fertiliser. And with the appropriate mulching kit available as an optional accessory for this lawn mower, the machine can also be converted into a Multi-mower.
    • MULTI-BLADE
    • FLEXIBLE MOWING AND MULCHING. The multi-blade allows you to mow and mulch without changing the blade. The specially shaped blades shred the cut grass. Then you decide whether the grass should be transported into the collection box via air flow, or further shredded and distributed evenly over the green area to become a nutrient-rich fertilizer.
    • Fold-open grass catcher box with level indicator
    • The plastic grass catcher box can be easily opened and emptied thanks to its folding mechanism. The current of air produced during mowing blows the clippings into the grass catcher box and ensures a high degree of filling. Thanks to the downward-facing vanes, the air is guided sideways towards the ground, preventing dirt from being thrown up. The level indicator signals the correct time for emptying. The airflow generated by the blade raises the level indicator. When the basket is full, the airflow stops. If the airflow is too low, the level indicator returns to its idle state and this is an indication to empty the catcher box. Optimal airflow is required in order for the level indicator to function fully. External influences such as wet, dense or tall grass, a low cutting height, contamination, etc. may affect the airflow and the performance of the level indicator.

    • The easy-running wheels of the STIHL lawn mowers are extremely robust and hard-wearing. They have been equipped with a traction pattern and directional stability tread pattern for effortless manoeuvring and perfect line holding during mowing.
