Nifty's F18BASIC film is a terrific alternative to standard film. It is a high performing, pre-stretch film with a number of advantages over regular film. Our pre-stretch film only has about 10% stretch left this means it is a stiff product that will have very little neck down in application. Standard gauge films require a lot of stretching in application to become stiff enough to prevent load shifting in transit or storage. F18BASIC requires only a snug and tug to provide the best unitizing and load stabilization efficiencies. F18BASIC can be applied walking forward safer than traditional films where you walk backwards to get the stretch needed. The less stretch, walking forward and no neck down result in using less film to wrap the pallet. It is also much lighter in weight than a traditional roll of 18 in film easier to use, less operator fatigue with the lower weight roll and cost effective since stretch film costs are tied to the weight of the roll. There is a 1/4 in reinforced edge on the top and bottom of the roll. If a traditional roll of stretch film is dropped, it will nick on the edges and most or all of the roll will be thrown away. With our reinforced edges, there is no nicking and no fraying less waste. Also, with less damage to the roll, integrity, strength, durability, hold and load compression are all better. The core extends approximately 1/2 in on each end of the roll which allows for easy application without a dispenser. Operators can get a better grip on the roll. So, you have a film that provides twice the hold with less effort, a lighter roll that means less operator fatigue and greater safety, reinforced edges for tear resistance and no nicks and great hold and load stabilization.
