A hanger bolt is a headless fastener engineered to be driven into wood or another soft substrate. These bolts have machine screw threads on one end and self-tapping threads on the other. They are designed to hang items like sheet metal and wiring from wooden structures. Hanger bolts also allow objects to easily be removed or replaced.
