A hanger bolt is a headless fastener engineered to be driven into wood or another soft substrate. These bolts have machine screw threads on one end and self-tapping threads on the other. They are designed to hang items like sheet metal and wiring from wooden structures. Hanger bolts also allow objects to easily be removed or replaced. Assembly is complete when the end of the bolt with the sharp tip is screwed into a pre-drilled hole.
